Planning Your Fotelica Senior Portrait Buddies Session...


Invite two friends and reserve a buddies session for added fun and maximum discounts. Please note that it is not a requirement that you book your session with friends, we have designed this package to deliver maximum value (highest quality combined with greatest savings), students are of course welcomed to book their session individually, and we will fill the remaining vacancies in the session. This is a great way to meet new people! You can designate whether you prefer an all-guys or all-girls session.


To take full adantage of the discounts available to you we recommend that you plan as far in advance as possible for your session. Talk to your friends to see who might like to share your session time. We'll give you a $20 discount for each "buddy" you invite who books into your session time (three student maximum per session). The friends who share your session will receive the same discounts you do.

Once you have your friends lined up, it's time to book your date. Contact Us for scheduling availability. Once a date is agreed upon with your friends and confirmed by your photographer, we will require your full payment to reserve that date for you. At that point each student scheduled in the session will return to this page to make their payment. You may want to BOOKMARK THIS PAGE!

Although it is possible to place your order on this page prior to contacting us, we recommend that you have your session date confirmed prior to making payment.

Tips for booking your session time...

  • Don't delay your booking! The closer you get to your school yearbook deadline, the less likely we'll have availability in our schedule. If possible, book your session during the early summer prior to the start of school

  • Get the maximum discounts, invite up to two friends. Also ask about our print ordering bonus

  • IMPORTANT! Spare yourself some stress, know the date of your school yearbook deadline and don't wait until the last minute to reserve your session.

How it all works: A step-by-step guide to ordering your Fotelica Senior Portrait Session - from scheduling to print package delivery...

  • Contact Us to reserve a date. Payment is required to hold the date you choose. All bookings are made on a first-paid basis. We can only "hold" a date by verbal agreement for 24 hours. It is always a good idea to exchange a mobile phone number with your photographer to help coordinate a meeting place on the day of your session.
  • Register your own free Fotelica online account. You will need this account later to access your portrait gallery. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you remember your Fotelica account logon information - write it down!
  • Ordering and payment. Return to this page to complete the information requested above and make your payment by bankcard. Make your payment of the full published amount by clicking the "add to order" button. We will credit all applicable Buddy Program rebates directly to your bankcard within five business days after your photo session. You can also take advantage of an additional print ordering bonus by checking the box labelled "defer to off-peak production" at the top of this page. You will also have the ability to track your payment history and your open order status through the personal Fotelica account you have just created in the registration step.
  • The session. We are open to your suggestion of location(s) for your senior session generally within a reasonable distance of your home. We are available for travel (including airline travel) upon request. Be aware that you may be out on location for several hours during your portrait session so be certain to dress appropriately if it is a cooler day. Bring a bottle of water and it is always a good idea to eat beforehand. If you are scheduled for a Buddies Session, please remind your friends of these details.
  • Publishing step. We will publish your portrait galleries within 10 days of your session (usually sooner). You will receive notification by e-mail that your photo galleries are published to the Fotelica.com website. At this stage, your photos are straight from the camera and not yet retouched or enhanced in any way. Our imaging professionals will individually hand-craft your photo selections to create a final product that will make you look your very best.
  • Selecting your photos and ordering prints. The automatically generated e-mail that you will receive containing your gallery password will also include a link to your order. You can begin the selection process either by clicking that link or by logging into your Fotelica account and clicking the "My Open Orders" button in the green navigation strip in our website header. That button is only visible to registered users with open (paid) orders. Clicking the "My Open Orders" button will also launch the selection wizard that will guide you through the final step in ordering your Fotelica Senior Portrait Package. TIP: Make your selections based upon the composition and expressions you like best, never be concerned about blemishes or any technical details, each image will go through a painstaking custom enhancement process before it is printed and delivered to you. We completely guarantee your satisfaction.

Printing and delivery FAQ

Why won't my password work?

In the majority of cases this is the result of not being signed into your Fotelica Account. Your Fotelica account and your Fotelica gallery are two separate things! You must first register an account with us to be allowed access to the secure areas of our site and to activate our premium customer service features such as favorites, account history and order tracking. If you have not yet registered an account, register now then try accessing your gallery again. After you have succesfully entered your personal gallery the first time using your gallery password, you will not be prompted for your gallery password again as long as you remember to log into your Fotelica account each time you visit. The important thing here is to remember your account password and user ID!

How will I know my portraits are ready and how do I find them online?

We will send you an e-mail notification as soon as your Fotelica online gallery is ready along with your personal access code and some additional important information. Finding your personal gallery is as easy as clicking our "find my photos" button on our home page, then entering the access keys we provide in your notification e-mail. IMPORTANT -- you will be required to register an account with us (its free)to be allowed access to private content on our site (including your own! Anyone you invite to view your portraits online will also need to be registered with Fotelica to be allowed access to your private gallery, even if you provide them your password, this is our way of being certain that your privacy is protected on our site. Once registered with permission granted to view your private gallery, you will not be prompted for a pasword to your own galleries again, as long as you are signed in to your account. Registering an account also turns on other premium customer service features of our site such as open order tracking and stored favorites.

"Off-Peak Production." What is the "special incentive" for deferred printing and how do I recieve it?

Receiving our special incentive for deferred production is as easy as placing a check mark in the box labelled "defer to off-peak production" at the top of this page. The incentive changes frequently but is typically a gift certificate, large format print or print package or special product offer of substantial value. Our recommendation for selecting your printing and delivery options for senior portraits is that if you do not have a pressing need to receive your prints immediately for gift-giving, then consider deferring your package delivery to an "off-peak" production time. We offer this incentive to you for helping us to lighten our burden during peak production cycles. Upon receiving payment of your senior session, we will contact you to inform you of our "off-peak" schedule and to confirm your interest in deferring to a later production date. Once we have your agreement on the delivery date, we will flag your account for the incentive to be delivered together with your print package on the agreed upon date. "Off-peak" generally falls in the January 1 - March 1 period, so you will want to consider whether you are willing to wait for your prints. Other than the yearbook photo which is needed in the Fall, most students don't require their prints until around May when they begin planning for graduation and the mailing of their graduation announcements. IMPORTANT: Incentives can only be issued on print orders placed before March 31 when our peak production cycle begins again and it is no longer in our advantage to offer the incentive. If you have any questions about the traditional use of senior portraits please ask, we are happy to help.

Will my yearbook deadline be impacted by choosing the option to delay printing my portrait package?

No, your yearbook photo is our top production priority since there is a specific deadline involved. The delayed printing of your portrait package only impacts your package prints which include your graduation announcement photos and exchange prints which many students don't get around to ordering until graduation approaches and they have a need to send out their announcements.

Will deferring delivery of my prints affect when my portraits are viewable online?

No, your personal Fotelica galleries will be available within 10 business days of your portrait session, often times much sooner. Your private gallery allows you to view all of the images made during your session. You can mark and save your favorites, share with friends and family and more.


What happens if I am unhappy with my portrait?

Fotelica offers you the assurance of a complete satisfaction guarantee. If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your professionally made Fotelica portraits, you may request a re-shoot date or a refund. Refunds requested within 30-days of the publication of your Fotelica portrait gallery are issued in the form of 75% cash and 25% store credit good toward any portrait sitting, event photography plan or any photo services purchase made within one-year of your original purchase date. Refund requests received within 30 to 60-days of gallery publication will be disbursed as a 75% cash refund and a 10% store credit as described above. Sorry, no refunds can be issued beyond 60-days.


What happens if I cancel my session before the session date without rescheduling?

If your cancellation is final and is received at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled session, you will receive a refund of 85% of your sitting fee. If you are able to replace yourself in our schedule by finding a friend to take your session time, you will receive a full 100% cash refund. If you cancel your session with less than the 72 hours required notice, you will receive a 75% cash refund and a 10% store credit voucher good for one-year from your original purchase date.
